Baltimore Book Festival

Where? The Inner Harbor, 11 AM-7 PM each day.  

Stop by our region’s booth at the Baltimore Book Festival to find out more about our region’s activities and purchase signed books by local published members!  Sneaks the Cat will also be making appearances at our booth throughout the festival to represent Maryland public libraries!

Where? Enoch Pratt Free Library Children’s Tent.

Hosted by MD/DE/WV SCBWI. Agent Hannah Mann of Writers House discusses what to stress for success when it comes to querying agents, including how to stay brief and be heard without coming off as generic, how to strike a balance between broad appeal and agent-specific, and choosing the perfect comp titles. A recording of the webinar will be available for one month after the live event. The recording will be for registered attendees only, so if you can’t make the live event, you can register to view the recording. Roundtable: A Conversation with Authors of Teen Fiction

Where? The Catonsville Library.

Join 6 writers of fiction for teens for a lively, interactive panel discussion at the Catonsville Library about their inspirations, writing process, and the value of stories in the modern world. SCBWI MD/DE/WV 2018 Annual Conference: 25 and Still We R(ev)ise 

When? Saturday, March 17 to Sunday, March 18, 2018

Where? The Maritime Conference Center

There will also be with social activities scheduled for Friday evening. Early bird registration will begin in December.

We are still accepting proposals for 50-minute breakout sessions and 3-hour intensive workshops for our MD/DE/WV SCBWI Regional conference on March 17-18, 2018.  If you’ve got a great workshop to propose, check out the link to learn how to submit your proposal.

Read Local Kickoff Events:
