Us gals here at As The Eraser Burns have been rolling up our sleeves lately, thinking of ways to breathe new life into our region’s blog and to encourage more reader participation. We have lots up our sleeves, such as Monday Motivation and a brand-new Pinterest account, (details on that coming soon,) but the thing I’m most excited about is the …
Third Thursday SCBWI Social Blog Link Up with Eastern Penn Points!
Yes, we’re partnering up with the gals over at Eastern Penn Points, SCBWI Eastern Pennsylvania’s regional blog, for a new and improved version of the link up we attempted last year. Back then, we made the mistake of jumping in too soon without doing enough planning first.
Not this time.
And not gonna lie … I’m super psyched about this! Here’s the short version of the rules:
The long version is basically, on the Third Thursday of the month, you write a post on your personal blog using either ATEB or Eastern Penn Points monthly submission theme ideas. (Or feel free to select your own topic!) You can find each hosts’ suggested themes in the “Submission Guidelines/Monthly Themes” tabs on each blog.
As The Eraser Burns’ for June is: June: “Everything You Ever Wanted to Share About Picture Books, But Were Never Asked.” It’s all about picture books this month!
Eastern Penn Points’ is: The Business of Books – There’s so much to learn! Let’s put the spotlight on business this month.
Please be sure to mention both As The Eraser Burns and Eastern Penn Points as hosts in your post and use the hashtag #SCBWIsocial.
As hosts, we will each publish our own blog posts on every Third Thursday. In the comment section of either or both host blogs, leave a link to your own post. Then share the love by visiting the blogs of other participants, which is a great way to make new friends and build community!
That’s it! (Well, for now, at least. There may be some changes as we grow and build this new adventure, especially with how we display participants linked blog posts.) If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comments below.
Now, get ready to get your link on this coming Thursday!
