More updates for this weekend’s Team SCBWI Conference

Happy Friday! I have the following update from co-regional advisor, Sue Peters to add to my monster-sized All Things Team SCBWI post from yesterday:

Team SCBWI promises to be one of our better attended events.  More faculty and participants for you to get to know, and wait for lunch with.  I know I’m bringing a bag of nuts so I can stay strong. Think about how you can stay in your happy place all day.

The Wi-Fi network is called Claggett Guest. No password required. We were told it is 75% reliable.  Think about how you can stay in your happy place all day.

A new session “Authors Get Real: Working With an Agent,” has been added for Saturday at 3:00. At this specail panel, Sweet Sixteens Debut Novelists Ava Jae, Janet Sumner Johnson, Kathy MacMillan, Lois Sepahban, and Laura Shovan will give us the real scoop on finding and working with an agent. Stephen Barbara will moderate.

NEEDED! – Volunteers to run sign-in for our query critique booth on Saturday, March 19 from 10-12 and 1-4.  These volunteers will manage the waiting list and timing of critiques.  If you want to spend an hour with our PAL critiiquers and can volunteer for a 1-hour shift for this, please contact Kathy MacMillan at

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the conference!

About Laura Bowers

Laura is a writer, runner, reader, runDisney addict, blogger/vlogger at Write, Run, Rejoice and Joyful Miles, mom of two college boys, excellent chili maker, and obsessive list keeper. She clearly likes run-on sentences and adverbs. She also still thinks Spice World was an awesome movie and feels no shame about that.
