Here’s an event for all of you Delaware members and those of you looking for a reason to take a road trip.

What:  Hockessin Art and Book Fair– A celebration of local independent and self published writers and other feature artists who are inspried by books- a collaboration between the New Castle County Art Studio, Hockessin Community Recreation Center, Hockessin Library, Hockessin Bookshelf, and the Written Remains Writers Guild.

And, here’s an event for all of our Marylanders.  SCBWI member and former Co-Regional Advisor, Lois Szymanski will be at the Finksburg library next week.  As of the writing of this post, there are still spaces available-so make sure you register for this unforgettable program.

Here’s the event information from the Carroll County Public Library:

“Join author Lois Szymanski as she shares some stories about Chincoteague ponies and how they survive today. Her talk will include information about the ponies, who are the focus of her Chincoteague pony trading cards, the foals that inspired her picture book Wild Colt, and the amazing survival of the stallion who is the topic of her chapter book The True Story of Miracle Man. After the talk, visitors will be able to meet a real Chincoteague pony and ask questions of the pony’s owner. This will be a great experience for the entire family! All attendees need to register.”
