Announcing our 20th Anniversary Logo Design Contest

20th Anniversary LOGO DESIGN CONTEST

for the

MD/DE/WV Region of SCBWI

Entries must be received by November 30, 2012

Attention illustrators: Our MD/DE/WV region will be celebrating our 20-year anniversary, and we’d like to show off our longevity in a new logo!

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING A LOGO FOR THE CONTEST:

Requirement: You must be a current SCBWI member living in the MD/DE/WV Region to enter.

Text: Please use the words “MD/DE/WV SCBWI” and “20 years” or “1993 – 2013” in some form within your logo design (no quotes needed).

Keep it Simple: Logos are very simple designs so they can be reduced to a small size and still look attractive. Try printing your design in large and tiny sizes. Does it still stand out well in a small size?

Color or Black & White: We welcome full color submissions, but sometimes we may need to print the logo in black and white. If you photocopy your design, does it still show up well?

Great examples: Check out the logos on other SCBWI regional websites by visiting the regional pages on www.SCBWI.org.

To Submit: Please email your submission as a jpg or pdf attachment to Edie Hemingway at mistylodge@verizon.net no later than Friday, November 30, 2012.  Include your name and contact information on the email, but not in the attachment, so it can be forwarded (without name) to the judging committee.  The winning logo will have the artist’s name included!

Prize: The winner will receive a one-year renewal membership to SCBWI  ($70 value). The decision will be announced by December 7, 2012, and the logo will be featured when promoting all our 2013 events, beginning with our March 23, 2013 “20th Anniversary Celebration” Conference!

  1. It’s just one more reason I wish I were living in MD. Missing you all.
