Upcoming Regional SCBWI Events

As summer draws to an end, be sure to mark your calendars for the following MD/DE/WV SCBWI events:

A Free ABC (Author Book Club) Event, featuring YA author Pam Bachorz

When: Saturday, September 8, 2012, from 2 to 4 PM

Where: Mid-County Community Center, 2004 Queensguard Rd., Silver Spring, MD 20906

Join us as Pam Bachorz talks about her writing journey, followed by a Q & A session.  Her debut dystopian novel, CANDOR, was selected as both a Black-Eyed Susan pick and a TAYSHAS pick.  Her second novel, DROUGHT, was released last year.  Be sure to bring copies of her novels for Pam to autograph, as copies will not be available for purchase at the event.

RSVP: naomiwm@verizon.net so we’ll know how many people to expect.

A free ABC Event, featuring our own blog-coordinator and YA author, Laura Bowers, and her latest novel JUST FLIRT!

When: Saturday, October 27, 2012, from 2 to 4 PM

Where: Damascus Library, 9701 Main Street, Damascus, MD 20872
