Our First Tri-Regional Conference

I’m excited to share news of our first ever Tri-Regional Conference, set for November 11-13 at the Wyndham Gettysburg, PA! The event is the combined effort of three SCBWI Chapters; Eastern PA, Western PA and our own MD/DE/WV Chapter.

Lin Oliver is so excited she’s flying in from the National Office to moderate and present a workshop on writing series. You won’t want to miss this one!

Keynote speakers Jim Murphy, EB Lewis and Patricia MacLachlan will be there as well as editors, Jordan Brown from HarperCollins, Bonnie Bader from Penguin, Grace Kendall of Scholarstic, Wendy Loggia of Delacorte and Carolyn Yoder from Boyds Mills Press’ history imprint, Calkins Creek and agents, John Rudolph of Dystel & Goderich Literary Management, Sarah Davies from The Greenouse and Marcia Wernick of the Wernick-Pratt Agency and Art Director, Chad Beckerman from Abrams. And that’s just for starters! There’s optional peer critiques and a night time walking ghost tour in historic Gettysburg to get the creative juices flowing.

Which members of the faculty will be giving the critiques for which we pay? The website isn’t specific. Thanks for clarifying!

I think all members of the faculty, except the three keynote speakers, will be critiquing.
