A preview of one of our conference raffle prizes…

Hello MD/DE/WV SCBWIers!

I’m Laura Backes, publisher of Children’s Book Insider, The Newsletter for Children’s Writers, and co-founder of The CBI Clubhouse membership site for aspiring and published writers of children’s books. I wanted to let you know that we’ll be giving away one year’s membership to the CBI Clubhouse at the July “Staying on Track” workshop. It includes a 12-month electronic subscription to CBI, access to our step-by-step writing course, instructional videos, podcasts, articles, a message board, and more. So sign up for the workshop and maybe you’ll be the lucky winner!

As a preview, we’re giving everyone access to my newest podcast with Deborah Halverson, talking about her book Writing Young Adult Fiction for Dummies. Check it out at www.CBIClubhouse.com, and hear what Deborah has to say about writing teen dialogue and creating the all-important hook for your book.

See you at the Clubhouse!

Laura Backes

* Note from Edie Hemingway:   All of our raffle ticket income goes to our Jack Reid Scholarship Fund!

  1. This is a wonderful raffle prize. Upfront, I want to say I am NOT unbiased, because I have written articles for CBI. But I partly write for them because I think in the newsletter and clubhouse Laura offers fantastic resources for children’s book writers, with articles and information you won’t find elsewhere. I hope you check them out!
