News Flash for the Staying On Track Conference

The YA track is now closed, but there is still space available in the middle grade, picture book, illustrator, and nonfiction tracks!  Don’t miss this opportunity to take your writing and illustrating skills to the next level and to have one-on-one time with editors, an agent, and award-winning authors and illustrator.  Registration deadline is Wednesday, July 6th.  Please be sure to include your second choice of track when registering!

Other “firsts” included in this conference:

  1. An opportunity for all illustrators to display their portfolios for attendees and faculty to view and offer comments.
  2. A hands-on workshop for illustrators with award-winning author/illustrator Lauren Stringer.
  3. A first-pages panel on Sunday morning, when all participants will have the opportunity to read their first pages (up to 250 words, double-spaced on one page) and receive feedback from their track leaders.  Everyone should bring 3 to 4 copies of their pages, so each track leader will have one as it is read aloud.
