More on Saturday’s Conference

I, too, would like to thank all of our speakers, agent Mark McVeigh, editor Abigail Samoun, authors Carole Boston Weatherford, Mary Quattlebaum, Linda Trice, and author/illustrator/art director Christy Hale for sending us home with information, inspiration, and hope.  Thank you also to our critiquing faculty, Laura Bowers, Mary Bowman-Kruhm, Susan Detwiler, Amie Rose Rotruck, Laura Shovan, and Lois Szymanski–all of whom gave thorough feedback to our regional members.  Here are a few photos from throughout the day:

I am excited to announce that agent Mark McVeigh has already signed one of our attendees, Elizabeth Brokamp, as a direct result of a critique, and he has high hopes for another.  Congratulations Elizabeth!

Please mark your calendars for our next conference on July 17 & 18, 2010 to be held at the Bishop Claggett Retreat Center near Buckeystown, MD. Stay tuned for more information.

  1. I attended the conference and thought it was excellent. My only critique would be to get a better room for AV presentations. I am a member of the Virginia chapter but I look forward to attending more of your conferences.
